Nelly cootalot the fowl fleet review6/2/2023 There are a few things that do set this adventure apart from many like it. Overall, this is a standard point & click adventure, but the flow is perfect and feels like a warm breeze on a winter day. Everything about the game feels gentle and welcoming, from the graphic through to the gameplay and the forgiving puzzles. The gameplay is played with lovely cartoonish backdrops and fully 3D animated characters, and the word "lovely" is a major theme here. However, the spirit of William Bloodbeard warns her of an imminent danger to birds – which are closer to Nelly's heart than most things, and she immediately embarks on a quest to save the fowls from the clutch of Williams Bloodbear’s brother – the mightily Lord Widebeard. In the game, you play Nelly Cootalot, a brave female pirate, who does very little pirating and currently employed on a post-delivery ship. I say it because it really is a good adventure, and there are plenty of other reviews there confirming just that. So it was a real pleasure to see such a great final product – and I don't say it just because I "invested" in it. I did play the freeware first game a few years ago and really like it, and I did give a fiver for the Kickstarter campaign for this game – you can see my name rolling at the end credits – which is nice. ![]() Last year I picked up Harvey's new eyes, and really enjoyed it, so after completing Half-Life 2, I decided to come back to another adventure outing in Nelly Cataloot – the Fowl fleet. I have my share of completed efforts, but not much of it. ![]() I was never the one that was willing to do too much pixel hunting or try all kind of crazy combinations until one worked. 90% PCI always liked adventures but was quite average at tham.
