Minecraft seed finder5/31/2023 In SMP, you can use the same command if you have sufficient rights. Alternatively, you can use the /seed command ingame. If you're playing SSP, the app is able to fetch the seed from your savegame. I imagine there's also a very slim possibility that the app's calculations differ from that of Minecraf because of technical reasons, but I have yet to see that happen.įor the reason mentioned above, you need to know the seed of your world to use Mineshaft Finder, unless, of course, you want to find a seed for a new world. I believe this happens mostly in ocean biomes, if the mineshaft would partially end up in the water. However, under rare circumstances the generation of a mineshaft can fail. The starting points are very accurate though. The chance increases linearly in every direction until it is at 1% as soon as either chunk coordinate reaches an absolute value of 80 (1280 in standard coordinates).Īs mentioned before, the chunks highlighted in the brighter color are merely assumed to contain a piece of a mineshaft. The chunk with the coordinates (0,0) has a 0% chance to contain a starting point. Only around the origin point of the map, the chance for abandoned mineshafts is actually smaller. Every chunk has a 1% chance to contain a starting point. Similar to slime chunks, chunks with starting points of abandoned mineshafts are predetermined by your map seed. These are merely very rough approximations as to how likely it is to find a piece of a mineshaft in this chunk. If the checkbox "Only show starting points" is disabled, you'll also see some chunks highlighted in a brighter color. Here's an example of such a room which intersects with another abandoned mineshaft: ![]() ![]() The easiest way to find them ingame is to walk to the center of a chunk highlighted in brown, and then search for the room at different height levels. These are usually rooms with dirt floors (though other map features, like ravines, may intersect with them). These squares represent chunks which contain "starting points" of mineshafts. Once you put that in, you'll see a couple of brown squares (if you don't, zoom out and move a bit around). Link: What is it for and how do I use it?Īs the name suggests, Mineshaft Finder allows you to find abandoned mineshafts in your world.
